Domestic abuse affects individuals and families regardless of background—but cultural pressures and stigma can make it uniquely difficult to recognise, speak about or seek support within South Asian and ethnically diverse communities. At Changing Suits, we want you to know: you are not alone, and support is available.
How we can help?
At Changing Suits, we aim to support survivors by helping them:
Understand Their Situation – We provide information and education about domestic abuse in ways that are culturally relevant and easy to understand.
Find Safe Support – We can help connect you with specialist support services
Culturally Informed Guidance – Cultural norms can make disclosures hard. We offer a non-judgmental space to explore options and understand your rights, beyond stigma and fear.

Wellbeing Workshops
Alongside referrals and signposting, we offer wellbeing workshops designed to support recovery, confidence, and connection.
These workshops provide a safe, supportive space where people can:
- Learn new wellbeing and coping skills
- Talk about experiences and situations (only if they choose to)
- Build confidence and self-esteem
- Meet others and reduce isolation
- Focus on personal wellbeing and healing
Our workshops are trauma-aware, culturally sensitive, and inclusive. No one is ever required to share personal experiences — participation is always at your own pace.
